Mola Sasa x La Veste jackets are handmade between Colombia and Spain in collaboration with the Guna Dule community of Caiman Alto. Originally inspired by a vintage quilted patchwork jacket, each style has a total of 106 squares of hand sewn fabrics that were carefully combined to create something different and out of this world. The Kuna textiles, commonly known as “molas,” translate to “clothes” in the Guna dule’s language, and are originally apparel textiles that are still worn by the artisan women of the community as part of their traditional blouse. With this exclusive collaboration we are helping support, preserve and encourage the ancient Guna Dule’s artisanal traditions.
